William Sammons

Albany- William R. Sammons , 83, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at home with his loving family by his side.

Born in Albany he was the son of the late William J. Sammons and Queenie Sammons.

A mechanic by trade, he was a true jack of all trades and he had a passion for electronics. William was also a lifelong Nascar fan.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved wife of over 50 years Joyce, and his sisters Marilyn, Patricia and Eileen.

He is survived by his children, William, Christina, Carl, Jessica and Katherine Sammons, as well as several grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and his sister Joanne.

Calling hours will be held at on Tuesday October 20th from 3pm-4:30pm with a service at 4:30 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, New York
