William "Red" F. Kurtzner, Jr.

GUILDERLAND- William F. “Red” Kurtzner, Jr. age 90, passed away surrounded by family on September 7, 2026.

He was born in Albany, the son of the late William and Mary Kurtzner. He was also predeceased by his daughter Karen and his sister Patricia.

Red was a loving, caring, extremely generous husband, father, grandpa and great grandpa and friend.

He retired from the USPS as an Auto Mechanic/Vehicle Analyst in 1996. He was a lifelong horse enthusiast and trail rider.

He was a charter member of the Guilderland Elks #2480.

Red is survived by his wife of 71 years, Dolores; sons: William (Paula) and Wayne (Shirley); grandchildren: Alyssa, Brian and Kevin; great grandchildren: Adelyn, John, Dominic, Elena and Nico; sister Jayne Clemens and brother in law Al Clapper. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours on Saturday September 19, 2026 from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205. All are invited to attend his funeral service following at 12 Noon. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie, NY.
