William H. Osterhout died on July 2, 2025 after a long illness. Born in Plattsburgh, New York on August 18, 1954, he was the son of the late Raymond Osterhout, Sr. and Annjane (Hansman) Osterhout.
If you knew Bill, you know that he was an avid sports fan! He loyally followed the Jets, the Mets and the Knicks; even when they were losing, which was often. When his nephew Michael began attending Auburn University, Bill embraced all things Auburn and was a devoted fan (“War Eagle!”).
Bill’s favorite place to be (besides a sporting event) was the beach, particularly the Jersey Shore. Growing up, family summers were spent in Cape May. In recent years, he discovered North Wildwood and would plan frequent trips throughout the summer.
Bill was most proud of the time he spent working with at-risk youth who were mandated into drug and alcohol treatment. He freely shared his life experiences and touched many lives.
Bill is survived by his wife, Sandra A. Osterhout, sister Mary Ellen (Stephen) Stofelano, Raymond (Raeanne) Osterhout, Jr., several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
