William A. Nye

We regretfully announce that William A. Nye passed away on January 6th, 2024 at the age of 90 in the town of Schenectady.
He was born in Albany on June 8th, 1933 to the late William F. Nye and Virginia (Brown) Nye.
William was a steadfast husband, father and friend. He was a decorated Veteran of the Korean War. He was a recipient of the Korean Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the United Nations Service Medal. He was honorably discharged May 18, 1955. He is a retiree from the NYS Office of General Services. William was married to his beloved wife of 50 years, Lucy Nye, who passed away January 12th, 2022.
He is survived by his devoted daughter Desiree Nye. William will be missed by all those who knew him.
A service will be held on January 11th at 11am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals. 343 New Karner Rd Colonie NY 12205
