William E. LeGere Jr.

Warren E. LeGere, 75, husband of Patricia LeGere, his wife of 54 years, died peacefully at home on Monday April 13, 2026.

Born March 18, 1951 in Albany NY he was the 4th child of Warren Edward LeGere and Marilyn Dubuque LeGere. He is survived by his beloved wife Pat, daughters Ruth Belschwinder and her husband Mark Belschwinder, Rachael Chase and her fiancé Dustin Roach, and grandchildren Christopher Chase and Mackenzie Chase. He also leaves his sisters Marilyn Ulion and her husband Nick, Janis Sutherland and her husband Peter, and Tami Bub and her husband Dennis. He also left behind a pair of brother cats he adored, Yoda and Jabba. He was predeceased by his brother Edward LeGere, former Sister in Law Mary Hamilton, and Father in law Rudy Crounse and Mother in Law Lois Crounse. Warren is also survived by countless nieces and nephews and an extensive found family.

Warren attended Voorheesville High School and Albany State University. He entered NY State Civil service, eventually retiring from the New York State Workers' Compensation Board as the head of the Finance department in 2012. He lead an active life in retirement, traveling frequently, working in wood and metal, and often going to flea markets with his wife Pat. He was also an active member of the Watervliet Rod and Gun Club and the Hilltown Riders ATV Club, serving on the Board of Directors of both organizations. His proudest achievement, however, was his daughters, their men, who he regarded as his sons, and the grandchildren he cherished.

Visiting hours will be held from 12pm to 2:00 PM on Saturday April 25 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd in Colonie, NY, after which we will join in a service to remember Warren through stories and music starting at 2pm. There will be no interment.
