Werner A. Kaiser, 89, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2022, surrounded by his dedicated and loving wife of 68 years.

Born on March 23, 1933, in Danzig Germany, he and his wife Anneliese E. Waldmin, left Holland in 1959 to emigrate to America, and have lived in Albany for 63 years.

Mr. Kaiser was a machinist in Germany, and later found his passion working on European cars as owner of Kaiser Body Shop in Albany, NY. Thereafter he worked, for many years, as a machinist for Radiant Pools in Albany.

Werner was an avid builder, welder, and sailor. For nearly 40 years, he and his family enjoyed sailing on Lake Champlain where they made many life-long friends. In addition to sailing on "Odin", the boat he built, he also had the opportunity to sail the historical Intrepid.

In addition to his wife, Werner is survived by his daughter Karin (Gerald) Elmer, and grandchildren Alexander and Nicholas Elmer.

Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, October 7, 2022, from 3:00pm – 6:00pm, at New Comer Cremations and Funerals located at 343 New Karner Road, Colonie NY 12205.
