Walter "Skip" Williams

Walter "Skip" Williams , 79, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 30, 2026 at Samaritan Hospital with his loving family by his side. Skip was the son of the late Walter Williams and Eva (Sewchuck) Williams. He was the devoted husband of over 58 years to Sheila A. (Donlon) Williams.

Skip proudly served with the United States Army. He retired from the State of New York, he was a long term member of the Teamsters Local #294, after retirement he drove part time with The Blackburn US Mail Contractors, Albany, NY.

He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and rebuilding all of his classic cars. As a younger man he enjoyed racing his cars at several different tracks in the Capital District. Most of all he enjoyed being with his family.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his grandson David J. Terrell Jr.

Skip is survived by his wife, Sheila, his children Michael (Lisa) Williams and Michelle (David) Terrell. He was the proud grandfather of Jeremy, James, Emily (Joel), Olivia (Megan Stacy), Liam, as well as three great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, NY on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
