Walter "Sonny"S. Woodard

Walter S. Woodard "Sonny" went home with the lord on April 27, 2016. Born on March 20, 1938 in Shubuta Mississippi. He was predeceased by his wife Joyce Woodard; parents Alfred and Leola Woodard Sr.; brothers: Paul Woodard (Dolores) and Alfred Woodard Jr.; sister Girlie Ferguson and brother in-law William Dickson. He leaves behind his sisters: Ann Standfield, Pauline Walker and Emma Dickson; sisters in-law Doris Woodard of Albany, NY and Oceanna Burkhalter (John) of Minneapolis, Minnesota and a host nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Celebration of his life and legacy will be held at Wilborn Temple COGIC, 121 Jay Street, Albany, NY on Monday May 2, 2016. Viewing will be 9am-11am. Celebration service will begin at 11am. Interment will be in Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
