Walter S. Lee

January 17, 1961 — November 14, 2016

MENANDS- Walter S. Lee, 55, went home to be with Jesus, on Monday, November 14, 2016.

Walter was born in San Antonio, Texas to the late Ray and Clara Lee on January 17, 1961. As a young boy he gave his life to Christ and knew he had a calling in his life. Walter was raised by his late maternal grandmother; Abbie Adams whose famous quote was "tight but right". She lived her life serving a wonderful God. Even as a child, Walter enjoyed studying and reading scriptures. His favorite scripture was Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me."

Walter is survived by his loving wife, Herma Lee and their daughter, Siemone Hughes, his siblings; Clarance R. Lee Jr., Darlene (William H.) D. Trevillion, his four cats, one pug, "Eeyore", and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Walter and his wife Herma serve in their ministry called, C.H.I.P. (Children's Hope Initiative Program), which provides school supplies to disadvantaged school aged children throughout the Capital Region.
Walter's one great desire was that all men will walk into their destiny that the Lord has paved for them. Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end."

Calling hours will be held at Legacy Church 282 Elsmere Ave, Delmar, NY 12054 from 4:00pm-7:00pm on Friday, November 18, 2016. A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Church on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 10:00am. Burial will be held at Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands, NY.

Walter's passion, love, and purpose on earth was to serve children in need. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Walter's name to Albany Medical Centers Children's Hospital, 43 New Scotland Ave, Albany, NY 12208.
