Virginia "Ginny" Valentine Horton, 59, passed away suddenly at her home on Wednesday, May 31, 2017.
She was born and raised in Roslyn, Long Island and moved to Niskayuna in 1999.
Virginia was the daughter of Jane (Conklin) Valentine and the late Edwin Valentine, Jr.
A wife, a friend, a teacher, a loving mother of four, who loved her back. Known for her love of cats, the outdoors and fishing. She made every holiday special.
A caring Nurse by profession, with an inspiring heart.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Gary Horton; and her 4 beloved children; Whitney (Jimi) Gauthier, Devin Horton, Meredith Horton and Garrett Horton. Also survived by her mother Jane Valentine, her brother Edwin (Jean) Valentine, her sister-in-law, Pam Woodward, her brother-in-law Jeffrey Horton and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Interment will be private at the families convenience.
