Valentino M. Michela, 87, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at his home with his loving family by his side.
Valentino was the son of the late Valentino Michela and Grace (Cacchione) Michela.
Valentino was the devoted husband for over 48 years to Louise (Bebo) Burke-Michela.
Valentino was a communicant of All Saints Catholic Church for many years.
He was a Mason his entire life and enjoyed working with "cement", horses and most of all he loved being with his family.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Joan (VanVorse) Michela and his brothers; Anthony and Miron Michela.
Valentino is survived by his wife Louise, his children; Deborah (Greg) Seep, Michael (Judy) Michela, Valerie Baker, Peter Michela, Robyn Wilson, Shelia Burke, Bruce (Carla) Burke and Derrick Cuff. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday October 9, 2016 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 am at All Saints Catholic Church, 16 Homestead Street, Albany, NY (next to CVS). Interment will follow the Mass at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Hospice Foundation 310 S. Manning Boulevard Albany, NY 12208 in Valentino's memory.
