Listen to Obituary

Tonyetta Lee Kettles-Weaver was born on October 16, 1974, in Albany to Tommie L. and Yvonne S. Kettles. She peacefully passed away on February 3, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family and community.

Tonyetta was the proud and loving mother of four daughters: Shardonné and Nichole Traynham, Kiara Acevedo, and Stephany Bennett. She was an adoring grandmother to her three beautiful granddaughters, Synariah, Syani, and Syniah-Lee Traynham, who brought her endless joy.

She is survived by her beloved siblings: her older brother Tommie Kettles, and her younger sisters Tina Kettles and Valerie Thomas. Tonyetta was also a devoted aunt to her niece Kyana, and her nephews Xavier, Markel, and Ceazus, whom she loved deeply.

Tonyetta shared a lifelong bond with an amazing friend of over 30 years, Jacques Traynham, with whom she shared two daughters. She also leaves behind her husband, Jose Acevedo.

Tonyetta was truly the love in everyone’s life. She had a heart that knew no limits and gave her love freely and wholeheartedly to all who knew her. Her presence lit up every room—she was the life of the party, always dancing, laughing, and bringing people together for family functions and celebrations. The community has lost an amazing woman whose kindness and warmth touched so many lives.

Her faith was deeply rooted in Christianity Though she was not baptized, Jehovah held a special place in her heart, and her faith guided her throughout her life.

Tonyetta will forever be remembered for the love she gave so generously, her joyful spirit, and the way she made everyone feel seen and cherished. She is now at peace and no longer suffering.

“The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life; and everyone who is living and exercises faith in me will never die at all.”
— John 11:25–26

We grieve Tonyetta’s absence deeply, but the dead are in the safest situation imaginable, Tonyetta is safe in Jehovah’s memory.
