Timothy Lee Chotkowski

Timothy Lee Chotkowski, 58, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2026. Born in Schenectady, New York, Timothy was the beloved son of the late Leon and Beverly Chotkowski.

Timothy dedicated many years of service to Union College, where he worked in the bookstore. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially spending time outdoors fishing and gardening. Timothy also had a lively spirit and loved sharing laughter through karaoke nights and friendly competition at trivia night.

Above all else, Timothy took immense pride in his role as an uncle. His love, humor, and presence were a constant source of joy and support to his niece and nephews, who meant the world to him.

Timothy is survived by his siblings, Tracy Layton (Brian), Suzanne Fisherauer, and Dennis Chotkowski (Kristin). He was the cherished uncle of Joseph Jr. (Kaylee) and Joshua Fisherauer (Rachel), Thomas Layton (Morgan), and Jessica Maynard (Holden), all of whom will carry his memory forward with love.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by a sharing of memories from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, New York 12205.

Timothy will be remembered for his kind heart, his gentle nature, and the deep love he had for his family. He will be dearly missed.
