Schenectady- Thomas B. Polak Sr., 79, born in Schenectady, NY to Joseph and Irma Polak on October 28, 1946, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School and joined the United States Army, where he was honorably discharged in 1966.
Tom had many accomplishments in his life, from Karate Champion to Motorcycles. He was employed at Schenectady International for 23 years as a supervisor. He then found the perfect job, Tom drove Big Rigs for well over 30 years in all 48 continental states. The last 18 years were with LeRoy Holding Company in Albany, NY. Tom loved traveling. He has visited over 15 countries with his wife and son. Of all Tom's accomplishments the only ones that meant so much to him, was being a good husband and great father.
Tom was predeceased by his wife and soul mate, Theresa Pittman- Polak on January 21, 2023, his father Joseph, mother Irma, sisters Elizabeth Polsinelli, Sylvia Polak and Claudia Polak.
Tom is survived by his son Thomas Polak, Jr. of Durham, NC, his brother Joseph (Theresa) of Rotterdam Junction, NY, his extended family, the Pittman's, and a million nieces and nephews whom he loved like his own children.
Thomas wanted you all to know, there is a Heaven and he will be there with the love of his life, Theresa Pittman- Polak.
