Thomas C. Franklin

Thomas C. Franklin, best known as Tommy, transitioned from this mortal life to eternal life on Saturday, October 4, 2025. Tommy was the son of the late Willie and Janie Franklin. Not only was he a beloved member of his family, but by his co-workers as well and a true joy to all who knew him.

Tommy graduated from Troy High school in 1980 and started his working career at The Work Shop in Menands, later working for New York State for the last 40 years.

Tommy is known to love music, electronics, working and his peace. He especially enjoyed his family.

Tommy is predeceased by his Mom and Dad, Willie and Janie Franklin, his brother Luther Moore, his sisters Ruby D. Edwards, Betty Ruth Franklin and Elizabeth Franklin, his nephews Jermaine Franklin and Zaquan Carr, his Aunt Barbara J. Johnson and Uncle David Boyd.

He leaves to cherish in his memories his siblings Alice Theresa Franklin, Phillip Franklin, Loriann (Darryl) Cannon, Jennifer Franklin and Carrie Turner, as we as a host of other nieces, nephews and friends.

Tommy will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a loving and vibrant soul whose generosity knew no bounds.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals at 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY 12189. Burial will follow at Albany Rural Cemetery in Menands, NY.
