Thomas A. Cusack Jr., 85, passed away on April 11, 2026, at St. Peter's Hospital, surrounded by his wife, Susan, and sons, Donald and Christopher.

He was born on February 21, 1941, the son of the late Thomas A. Cusack Sr. and Evelyn Dawson Cusack.

Tom was a resident of Colonie all his life, and was a graduate of Colonie Central High School in 1959. He was employed with Luizzi Brothers, and then had owned his own trucking business until his retirement. He loved watching his sons and grandchildren play sports. Tom was a hockey player himself, as was his father.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Nancy and Patricia, and many friends.

Tom is survived by his wife of 47 years, Susan; his sons, William (Marie), Donald (Nichole), and Christopher (Halina); and his grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A funeral ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 24, 2026 at the funeral home.
