Albany- Theresa Irene Collins, 80, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at St. Peter's Hospital with her loving family by her side.
Theresa was the daughter of the late John Murray and Theresa Murray.
A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she was their cherished Mimi, known for her loving guidance, generosity, and for being a great listener who always made everyone feel loved and special. Terry looked forward to talking to her good friends and going on her daily mall walks. She cherished friendships and had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome. Those who met her were drawn to her warmth and sweetness and quickly came to love her.
Terry’s greatest joys were her family and her beloved husband, Gary. Rarely apart, they shared life's simple pleasures together -visiting children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, shopping, and making memories wherever they went. She was a loving wife, a steadfast partner, and a mother whose kindness, guidance, and unconditional love will be treasured always.
Terry is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Gary, children Nicole Wygel (Joe) and Kelly Sullivan (Doug) as well as grandchildren Joshua (Katherine), Caleb (Felicia), Noah (Gabrielle), Jared, Jonah, Luke, Hope, Faith, Max, and Liam andgreat grandchildren Samson, Selah, Silas, Gabriel, Levi, and Oliver, her brother John Murray (Kay – sister at heart) and brother-in-law Marty (Sue), several nieces and nephews and her special friends Jackie, Roseanne and Demitra.
We are forever grateful to God for blessing our lives with her presence. Terry’s legacy of love will continue to inspire us, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
