Theresa Chwazik

New Scotland – Theresa M. Chwazik, 47, passed away suddenly at her residence on Monday March 24, 2014. Born in Albany, she is the daughter of Judith (Hamell) Gardner and William E. Harrington Sr.

Theresa was employed by Newkirk Printing since 1999, as a laser printer operator. She was an avid hockey fan, and along with her husband, was an Albany River Rat season ticket holder and booster club member. Theresa also loved to travel to Baltimore, with her husband Rick, to enjoy games at Camden Yards. She was also a lifelong New York Jets Fan. Theresa enjoyed nature and loved to spend time at the family camp on White Lake.

In addition to her parents, Theresa is survived by her beloved husband Richard J. Chwazik Jr., her siblings; William (Debbie) Harrington Jr., Carl (Linda) Harrington, Robert (Trish) Harrington, Sherri (Michael) Grace, and her step siblings, Michael (Melody) Allen, Ellen Allen and Edward (Martha) Allen, her step-father Jeffrey Gardner, and step-mother Margaret Harrington. She is also survived by her father-in-law Richard J. Chwazik Sr., sister-in-law Gayle (Jerry) Guzik, brother-in-law Peter Chwazik, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Theresa was predeceased by her stepmother Beverly (Allen) Harrington and her stepbrother David Allen.

A memorial service for Theresa will be held Friday March 28th at 7:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
