Theodore W. Duker

Albany- Theodore “Ted” Duker passed on September 17, 2026, after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Margaret, and his children: Brian, Sherry, Theodore, and Daniel.

He had four brothers: William, Michael (deceased), Vincent, and Bernard. His sisters-in-law, Sharon Casey, Sharon Burns, and Karen Schumann, will miss him, as will his grandson, Sammy, and several nieces and nephews. Ted was a tough cookie with sweet cream filling. He was a talented artist who loved drawing, baseball and his Corvette. Ted was happiest during the last two decades of his life tucked away in the hills of Westerlo, surrounded by peace, contentment, and the joy of playing with his dog, Buster. He will be buried alongside his mother, Millie, his father, Bernard, and his brother, Michael, all of whom he missed.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Caulfield and the entire staff at Shaker Place Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for the compassionate care and support they provided to Ted and his family. Throughout Ted's Battle with cancer he was attended to by his devoted doctor and friend Dr. Thomas Fabian who we will remain forever grateful for. 

Ted will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
