Albany, New York- Thelma Richardson, 85, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. She was born on September 22, 1939, in Dry Branch, Georgia. When she was a child she moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she attended public school. Eventually she moved to Albany, New York and worked in various nursing homes in Albany County until she retired.
Thelma was married to William George Richardson and was the mother of Victor Riggins and Linda Richardson. Thelma was predeceased by her parents, her husband (William), her siblings, Charlie, Grover, Theodore Lee, Thomas Riggins, and her sister, Clara B. Houser. She is survived by her son Victor Riggins and daughter Linda Richardson. Grandchildren: William Singletary, Sonya and grandson-in-law Mike Miller, Keaddean, Trevon, Majestic. Great grandchildren: Laila Singletary, Kareem Miller, William-Xavier Singletary and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Initially, Thelma studied the bible for a short time with Jehovah's Witnesses. Later, she resumed her study with her daughter who eventually turned to the Bible study over to a sister who studied with her until she was baptized as one of Jehovah Witnesses on June 15, 1996.

The family acknowledges with grateful appreciation the overwhelming acts of kindness, cards, gifts, and tokens of love, which we have received since Thelma's illness and death. We all thank everyone so very much.
