Thelma M. Golden

Colonie- Thelma M. Golden, 96, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2018. Born on December 11, 1921 in Bethlehem, NY, Thelma was the daughter of the late James and Jennie (Kleinhaus) Chamberlain. She was retired from a career in retail, working at Montgomery Ward's and Korvettes. She enjoyed traveling and loved animals, but most of all, she adored her family.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Ray M. Golden after 42 years of wonderful marriage.
She is survived by her loving son, Kevin (Barbara) Golden; her grandchildren: Casey (Andy) Hays, Keith (Andrew Goddard) Golden, Angelia (Christian Ayala) Golden and Mark (Meghan Treacy) Golden; her great granddaughter, Avary Hays.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister Gladys Miner.
Thelma's family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Albany County Nursing Home for their endless compassion and loving support.
Visitation will be from 4 pm to 7 pm on Thursday, February 8 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Friday, February 9 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens.
