Sylvia E. Pohalski

Sylvia E. Pohalski, 82, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Rosewood Nursing and Rehab. Sylvia was the daughter of the late William and Louella (Parnell) Rushford. Sylvia was the devoted wife of over 12 years to the late Robert Pohalski. 

Sylvia enjoyed playing BINGO, going shopping and spending time with her family. 

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her brothers; Stanley, Lee, her sisters Darlene and Wanda. She is also predeceased by her husbands Allen Fuller and William Thurber Sr. 

Sylvia is survived by her son, William Thurber, her step-son Brian Fuller, her grandchildren, Genia Matthews, Adam Thurber, Shawn (Kristie) Thurber, Alison Thurber and Lindsay Thurber, her siblings, Gary Rushford, Lloyd Rushford, Bill Rushford and Sheryl McGuirk, as well as many great grand children.

At Sylvia's request there will be no calling hours. A celebration of life will be celebrated at a later date. She will be interned in The Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband Robert. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Rosewood Nursing and Rehabilition Center c/o the Activities Fund 284 Troy Rd., Rensselaer, NY 12144 in Sylvia's memory.
