Steven Benjamin

Steven Benjamin, 46, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at Albany Medical Center with his loving family by his side.
Steven worked as a general manager for many years around the Capital District with his last adventure being with Uncle Rico's in Halfmoon.
He enjoyed Mt. Dew, video games and spending time with his family. He loved to cook, especially his favorite Ice box cake and loved to give advice.
Steven is survived by his daughter, Jayla Benjamin and his two step-sons Wayne Cooperider and Gary A. Hirsch. He is also survived by his life partner Maria Simmons and his brothers Devon Gaddy, Keith Vernieri and many friends and family.
A celebration of life will be celebrated at St. Sophia's Greek Orthodox Church, 400 Whitehall Road, Albany, NY, on Thursday August 20th, 2026 a time to be determined.
