Sterling Stemp
March 26, 1951 — April 20, 2015
Sterling Stemp, 64 of Menands, NY, passed April 19, 2015 after a short illness at Albany Memorial Hospital. He was born in Kittery, Maine on March 26, 1951. Beloved son of predeceased Thomas and Mary Stemp. Husband of Kathi Stemp, father to Kevin Callahan. Brother of Thomas (Lindy) Stemp, Susan (Robert) Dickie, and many nieces and nephews.
Sterling served proudly in the U.S. Army 26th Engineer Battalion receiving the National Service Medal, EXPM-14 and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, O/S Service Bar. He also served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Power and USS Kalamazoo.
Services are Monday, April 27, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. at the Saratoga National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Community Hospice of Albany.
