Stephen Francis Moore

East Greenbush- Stephen Francis Moore, 73, passed away on January 18, 2026. He was the son of the late Fred and Marilyn Moore (Weber) of Rome, NY.

He graduated high school in 1971 at Rome Free Academy. He attended SUNY Canton and SUNY Oswego and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. He went on to work for New York State department of Social Services and Office of Child and Family Services. He dedicated 37 years of service to the State of New York and was able to retire in 2018. He married Virginia (Baldwin) of Albany, NY in 1992 and raised two children in East Greenbush, NY.

He loved watching the Yankees play, playing cards (hearts) and spending time at the camp on Oneida Lake with family. He was a member of Clinton Heights Fire department for over 10 years and enjoyed spending time with other volunteers and friends there. He was a loving father and although he had trouble communicating over the years you could always see in his eyes and smile how much he cared.

He is survived by his wife Virginia L. Moore, daughter Michaela S. Moore, son Stephen F. Moore II. Brothers Fred (Debbie) Moore, Kevin (Lisa) Moore, Randall (Laureen) Moore, Thomas (Christina) Moore. Beloved relatives, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and two cats Bart and Pumpkin.
