Colonie – Shirley "Chickie" Dempsey, 78, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Shirley is the daughter of the late, Albert and Elizabeth Dames.
Chickie is survived by her daughter, Kathleen (Jeff) Tidd; her son, John (Sylvia) Maimone; her grandchildren, Kevin (Courtney) Tidd, Amy Enos; great grandchildren, Robert Oldenburg, Celina Tidd; her sister, Toni Maccagnano; her brothers, Richard, Ronald, and Roger Dames; her sister-in-law, Anna May Dames; her dear friends, Grace Hotaling and Diane Selig; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Chickie was predeceased by her husbands, Robert Dempsey and John Maimone; and many loving family members.
A Memorial Service with Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. Inurnment will be on Friday, October 28, 2016 at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands, NY at 10:00 am.
