Troy----Shirley E. Bornt, passed away on January 24, 2018 at home. She was born on February 23, 1947, the daughter of the late Ethel and Robert Horr.
She loved going to Turning Stone, playing cards, bingo and bowling.
Shirley worked for Joy Department Store for 18 years and retired from Rite Aid Pharmacy after working there for 16 years.
Besides her parents, Shirley was predeceased by her son Donald Janse.
Shirley was the wife of Roy Bornt; mother of David Janse Sr. of Watervliet and Kelly Goodman of Troy;
step mother of Sharon Bornt of Troy and Michelle Morris of Colonie. Also survived by six grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours on Monday January 29, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY. A service will follow
at 7 p.m.
