Shane Michael Alheim

Shane M. Alheim, 36, died suddenly on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026. Shane was born in Albany and was currently working for ABC Supply Company Inc.

Shane took great pride in his work and helping everyone around him. The first one to arrive and the last to leave type. He was fun, loving, and the one to ignite any room he walked into. Shane was a genuine friend you could always count on. Shane whole heartedly enjoyed fishing, MMA, working out, being with close friends and most importantly; being a Dad. Nothing gave him more pride than becoming a father. He thoroughly enjoyed watching them play sports, teaching them new things and providing them with encouragement. Shane was a son, he was a brother, he was an uncle, a cousin, a partner, a friend, and a father. He will forever be deeply missed.

Shane is the beloved son of the late Thomas A. Alheim Sr. and Wendy M. Alheim. Shane is the cherished father of Breyson Alheim and Leyton Alheim. He is also survived by their mother Jamie Pratt. He is the devoted brother of Heather Dumire (Brian) and Thomas Alheim Jr. (Samantha) and the loving Uncle of Kasey Dumire, Amber Dumire, Christian Dumire, Bianca Alheim and Thomas Alheim lll, Natalie Fogarty, Adaline Fogarty and Allie LaFond. Shane has several close cousins to include, Daniel VanEpps and close friends that became family to include his best friend since grade school, Timothy Fogarty Jr. and Shane Fogarty.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 11th from 4pm-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie, NY 12205. A funeral service will be held on 12th at 10am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
