Scott W. Manning

Scott W. Manning, 63, passed away on June 9, 2026.

Born in Schenectady, Scott was the son of the late Marye Gilbert (Manning).

Scott was employed with Albany Waste Management for over 35 years. He was passionate about classic and custom built cars.

In addition to his mother, Scott was predeceased by his step-father, Edward C. Gilbert III; grandparents, Margaret Poffahl (McQueen) and Edward Poffahl, and aunts and uncles.

Scott is survived by his beloved wife, Jennifer; children, Scott E. Manning, Michael L. Manning and Brittany M. Manning; stepchildren, Jeffrey Chase, Michael Chase (Dylan), Raquel Chase (Jeffrey); and his grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., with a memorial service to immediately follow at 6 p.m., at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie.
