In Loving Memory of Saul "Lino" Carrion

Saul Carrion, affectionately known to many as "Lino," passed away on July 11, 2026, at the age of 24.

Born and raised in Schenectady, New York, Saul attended Schenectady High School and spent his life making an impression on everyone fortunate enough to have known him. He worked many different jobs throughout the years, but if you asked him what he truly loved, the answer was always music. Whether he was in the studio, writing lyrics, or sharing his newest song with anyone willing to listen (or not), music was where he found peace. He was incredibly proud of what he created, and he never let anyone's opinion stop him from expressing himself. It wasn't everyone's style—and he'd probably laugh and agree with that—but it was authentically his.

Saul had a personality that couldn't be contained. He was adventurous, fearless, and always seemed to be trying "something super extra," whether that meant climbing somewhere he probably shouldn't or attempting to jump from one building to another. If there was an adventure to be had, Saul was likely already halfway into it.

One phrase that perfectly captured who he was was: "Do you want the truth or do you want me to lie to you?" Those who knew him can probably hear him saying it. It never seemed to get old—to him, at least.

Behind the jokes and laughter was someone who cared deeply about the people around him. Even while fighting battles that many never fully saw, Saul always found a way to make someone else smile. He had an incredible ability to bring laughter into a room, even when he was carrying pain of his own. That is how so many will remember him—not only for the jokes he told, but for the joy he gave to others.

Saul was the beloved son of and is survived by his mother, Ana Weekes; his father, Saul Carrion Sr.; his stepfather, Patrick Weekes; and his second mom, Alisha Jason.

He is also survived by his grandmothers, Juanita Carrion and Yvonne Kelly, and his grandfather, Robert Kelly; his siblings, Anastasia Carrion, Atyanna Carrion, Nicholas Marx, Asiaonna Castro, Alaina Weekes, Jaqueline Weekes, Patrick Jr. Weekes, Harmony Weekes, Jean Weekes, Brianna Marx, Felicia Marx, and Bianca Marx; his aunts and uncles, Melany Alvarado, Omar Alvarado, Emmanuel Carrion, and Lisbeth Carrion; his beloved cousin and lifelong friend, Avianna Hemenegildo, his little cousin, Araceli, and many other family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Sandra Cruz Kelly.

A visitation and celebration of Saul's life will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at New Comer Funeral Home on New Karner Road in Albany, New York.

In lieu of flowers, donations to help with service expenses are greatly appreciated and may be given to his sister, Anastasia Carrion, who is helping organize everything. Any floral arrangements may be delivered directly to the funeral home.

Saul's story wasn't defined by perfection—it was defined by authenticity. He lived loudly, loved deeply, laughed often, and refused to pretend to be anyone other than himself. His music, his humor, and the memories he created will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him.

Rest easy, Lino. We hope you've finally found the peace you were searching for. We'll carry your laughter with us forever.
