Sara Colon-Hernandez

Rensselaer- Sara Robles-Colon-Hernandez, passed away on May 25, 2025 at the age of 78 surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of Joaquin Colon and Lydia Robles-Colon.

Sara is survived by her three children, David, Lucia, and Alfred; four grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. 

Sara was a divot Christian and member of the Concilio Latinoamericano and Council of Damascus Christian Churches of the New York and Florida Chapters where she served as Church Deacon and Sunday School teacher of several congregations under these affiliation for over 50 years. 

Sara was the heart of the family. She loved music especially the oldies. Sara loved to cook, and her holiday dinners were an all-day event.

A public visitation will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, New York 12189 from 11:00am to 12:30pm with a funeral service to begin at 12:30pm.
