Sandra A. “Sandee” Murphy

Sandra “Sandee” A. Murphy passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.

Sandee was born in Albany on November 18, 1954, a daughter of the late Sigmund and Jean (Waterston) Kuberski. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and educator. She shared 53 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Michael Murphy.

She was a longtime educator in the Guilderland Central School District, where she dedicated many years to helping, encouraging, and inspiring students before her retirement.

Sandee had a true passion for creativity and crafting. She loved scrapbooking, spending countless hours turning photographs, keepsakes, and special moments into beautiful, treasured memories. Her love of crafting became a cherished family tradition that brought multiple generations together, first shared with her mother and later with her niece, Andrea.

In addition to her husband, Michael, Sandee is survived by her two sons, Christopher Murphy (Erin) and Timothy Murphy (Ashley); her grandchildren, Kellan, Oliver, Connor, and Emmett Murphy; her sister, Karen Spawn; and several nieces and nephews.

Sandee was the heart and pillar of her family. To know her was to love her, and she will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Calling hours are on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205. A memorial service will begin at 6:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sandee’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
