Sandra Gunn McDuffie, 56, passed away on January 16, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital, Troy, NY.

She leaves to mourn her spouse (Willie McDuffie Jr.), her children (Amin U. Cowan, QuaAsia A. Gunn), 1 sister (Marilyn Y. Ginyard), 1 best friend (Janie Greene) 2 step brothers (Jon Pauline, Maurice Pauline), 6 grandchildren (Marquevion Brace, Promise Cowan, Ambitious Cowan, Amazin Cowan, Mha'Narri Brace, Nima Cowan), neices (Shacreesha Ginyard, Arianne Blanchard, Sharonda Ginyard, Star Asia Ginyard, Dynasia Ginyard, nephews (Payton Ginyard, Elijahwan Ginyard, Johnny Ginyard, Jr)., 1 uncle (Douglas Gordon), cousins, extended family members, friends, co-workers, and associates.

Sandra spent most of her life in the Albany, NY area a short time after having been born in Columbia, SC to a Minnie Freeman Gordon and Theopolus Gunn.

Sandra was educated in the Albany Public School system.

Sandra is predecased by both parents (Minnie Freeman Gordon/Theopolous Gunn, 2 brothers (Wendell A. Ginyard,/Johnny P. Ginyard), and grandparents (Johnny Gordon/Effie Freeman Gordon).

Calling hours will be held at Mt. Olive Southern Missionary Baptist Church, 236 North Pearl Street, Albany, NY 12207, on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 from 10:00am-11:00am with a service to immediately follow. Burial will be held at Graceland Cemetery. Repass information to follow....
