ALBANY-Samuel L Crawford was born on August 30, 1945 to Samuel and Estelle Crawford, in Albany, New York. He departed this life, suddenly, on October 3, 2016.
He attended Albany City Schools, and completed several vocational studies, before he began working for New York State Thruway Authority in 1972. Sam retired in 1999, and had been enjoying retirement, family, and fishing.
Sam is survived by his mother, Estelle Crawford, three brothers, Walter (Joyce), Henry (Patricia), of Albany, New York, Luke (Peggy) of Santa Monica , California, his dear friend Patricia (Crawford) Hodges, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Friends and family are invited to gather to share memories and celebrate Sam's life on Monday, October 10, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, in Colonie. Interment, following, will be at Graceland Cemetery, Albany.
