Salvatore LeMorta, 66 passed away peacefully on Monday, October 12, 2026 , surrounded by his loving family. Sal was born on May 26, 1960, son of Carmen LeMorta and Evelyn LeMorta Berg. He was a lifelong resident of Colonie, and graduated from Colonie Central High School. 

Sal worked as a life long truck driver, winning driver of the year in 2005. He was known for being able to fix anything, never missed a sporting event, school function, or celebration for his children and grandsons. His infectious laugh, always smiling, and working on projects around the house are a few of the things his wife loved about him. Sal loved working on his car, mowing the lawn, and watching his boys play baseball.

He is survived by his wife Francesca, his son Mark and daughter in law Christina and son Adam LeMorta, his grandsons Mark, Christian, Steven, granddaughter Adalyn, his daughter Maria and her husband Tyler Davis (Daniel and Demetri), Jennifer and Michael Keppler, Michael Reinke and Candace Cooper (Michael Jr.), Brian Reinke, his mother Evelyn LeMorta Berg, his father Carmen (Midge) LeMorta, his sisters Janice (Stuart) Johnson, Lynn (Bruce) Mattison, Denise (Chris) Buono and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Sunday October 18th from 12pm-2:30pm with a service at 2:30pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd Colonie NY.
