Ruth E. Perry

Latham- Ruth E. Perry, 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 9, 2016 at The Community Hospice in Albany Memorial Hospital, Albany. The daughter of the late Kaj and Ruth (Lill) Barner, Ruth was born on August 9, 1938 in East Greenbush. Ruth met John J. Perry in 1960 and they were married on July 9, 1961 in East Greenbush. Together they raised their family in Latham. Ruth enjoyed traveling with her family and doing arts and crafts with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ruth liked to shop, whether it was in the store or at home watching QVC.
Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, John "Jack" J. Perry, Sr.; her children: John J. (fiancé Maureen) Perry, Jr. and Jacqueline L. (Ken) Russell; her two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her sisters: Anna Bennett, Rita Henchey and Ellen Madline and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A private graveside service will be held at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
Ruth's family wishes to express their gratitude to the nursing staff on the 4th floor at Albany Memorial Hospital for their loving and compassionate care.
