Colonie-Rose I. Kelly passed away peacefully on January 30, 2018 surrounded by her 3 daughters.
Rose retired from the NYS Dept. of Social Services. She was a lifelong resident of Colonie and where she and her husband raised their 3 daughters. Rose was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her sisters and being with family.
Rose was predeceased by her husband, Clarence E. Kelly and her brother, John Carriero and her sister Dorothy Carriero.
She is survived by her 3 daughters, Kathy (Robert) Cavanagh, Karen (Victor) Palma, Mary (Michael) Ilnicki; grandchildren, Kelly, Jennifer, Cary (Adam), Tracy, Alicia (John), Brian (Shani), Laura (Bryan) and 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Ann Crowley, Lucy Goitz and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service to celebrate Rose's life will be held at 12:30pm on Monday, February 5, 2018 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205. Visitation will be from 11-12:30 prior to services. Interment will be at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
Those wishing to honor Rose's memory may do so by making a contribution to a charity close to their heart.
