Ronald H. Brizzell
July 8, 1932 — January 3, 2016
Ronald Brizzell (Tomato) 83, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 3, 2016, after a long illness.
He was the son of the late James Brizzell and Catherine (Paley) Brizzell. Ronald served in the United States Coast Guard as a Boatswain mate 31C from 1949 to 1952. After leaving the Coast Guard Ronald worked for Niagara Mohawk for 38 years before retiring. Once retired, he enjoyed his time by traveling, golfing and having gatherings by the pool with his good old friend Cutty Sark. Besides spending time with his family and friends he was a devoted fan of Frank Sinatra. Ronald was a member of the Polish Community Center and the Zaloga Post 1520 Albany, NY.
Ronald is survived by his beloved wife Suzanne Brizzell; devoted children, Kathryn Brizzell, the late Marie Davies, Barbara (Scott) O'Neil, Brian (Kim) Miller and Steven (Melissa) Brizzell. Elizabeth Brizzell mother of Kathryn,Barbara and Marie. Henrietta Larson mother of Brian Miller; cherished grandchildren, Jennifer Davies, Jessica (Richard) Hubicki, John (Jessica) Hulslander, Dennis (Ariel) O'Neil, Jacob Miller, Lyndsay Miller,Aidan Brizzell, Peighton Brizzell and Charles Brizzell; great -grandchildren, Karena Hubicki and Justin Hubicki; special niece Kahla Kuchta as well as many other nieces and nephews.
Relatives and Friends are invited to call on Friday, January 8, 2016, from 4 to 8pm at New Comer Funeral Home 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Ronald's life will be held on January 9, 2016, at 9am at Blessed Sacrament Church.
In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Alzheimer s Association or the American Cancer Society.
