Robert W. "Moe" Mosall, 91, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at Our Lady Of Mercy Life Center.
Robert was born in Albany, NY and was the son of the late Max and Eunice Mosall.
He has been a resident of Guilderland for most of his life.
Robert proudly served with the United States Army during 1944 and 1946, participated in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a
Private First Class in the 289th Infantry 75th Division.
He worked as an automobile mechanic with Zimmerman Mobile for over 30 years, retiring in 1983, in addition he drove a School Bus for Guilderland School District and Voorheesville School District.
Robert was a member of McKownville Methodist Church since 1953.
He liked to traveling, wintering in Florida and especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He will always be remembered by his favorite expression "I'm lucky, the harder I work the luckier I get".
He was the devoted husband of 62 years to the late Barbara L. Mosall.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Robert was predeceased by his brother, Milton Mosall and his sister Shirley Livingston.
Robert is the beloved father of, Michael R. (Patricia) Mosall. He is the cherished grandfather of Michael R. (Heather) Mosall and Jason Mosall. He is the adored great grandfather of Audrey, Emerson, Henry Michael and Lyla Mosall. He is also survived by his sisters; Betty Brown, Geraldine Ackert; his brother Douglas (Sylvia) Mosall and many nieces, nephews and close friends.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center and Community Hospice of Albany for all of the care and compassion given to Robert during his final days.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at 10:00 am at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours will be held on Monday November 7, 2016 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.
