Robert J. Laliberte, Sr.

Latham – Robert J. Laliberte Sr., 84, husband of the late Lois Laliberte, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, July 2, 2025. He was the son of the late Leo and Cecile Laliberte of Green Island. In addition to his parents, Robert is predeceased by his brothers Donald and Richard and sister Elizabeth.

After graduating from Heatly High School, Robert (Bob) served in the 42nd Infantry Division of the United States Army National Guard. He later worked for 30 years at General Electric in Schenectady, retiring in 1996. Bob kept busy by building a house for his son and daughter-in-law and babysitting his grandson, Connor. He also enjoyed spending time with his “Coffee Club Buddies” and woodworking.

Bob loved spending time with his entire family, especially around holiday gatherings. Although he was a quiet soul, he was always willing to listen and lend a helping hand.

Bob is survived by his son Robert and his wife Ann Marie, his grandson Connor, and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Colonie Police Department and Colonie EMS.

A private burial will be held at a later date.
