Robert J. Murphy

Robert John Murphy, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2026 at the age of 69; after a life filled with family, friendship, and many treasured memories.

A veteran of the United States Army, Robert enjoyed a varied career, holding positions in hotel and restaurant management, with Freihofer’s, and at RPI. Outside of work, he was an avid golfer and a lifelong baseball fan, with a special devotion to his New York Yankees.More than anything, he will be remembered for the love he had for his family and for the many roles he cherished—as a husband, father, brother, and son. 

He was predeceased by his beloved wife Karen and son Patrick, whose absence he carried with him. There is comfort in knowing that he is now reunited with them, together once again.

A graveside service will take place on Thursday October 8th at 11am in St. Mary's Cemetery, 65 Middletown Rd Waterford.
