Robert H. Mooney

Rotterdam- Robert H. Mooney, 74, passed away peacefully after a long courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was the son of the late Francis and Stella Mooney. He is predeceased by his first and only love, Janet (Robbins) Mooney.

Robert was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Family was very important to Robert and he worked tirelessly to provide for his family.

He is survived by his three children, Robert Mooney (Lisa), Kelly Lester (Brian), Kathy Jo Gallo (Andrew) and his cherished grandchildren, Lauren, Nicole, Salvatore, Domenic and Jenna and his great granddaughter, Aubrey. Robert is also survived by his older brother, Fred Mooney and many loved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 3:30pm- 5:30pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205. A funeral service will follow the calling hours starting at 5:30pm. A graveside service will be held Monday, October 10, 2016 at 12:00pm at Millbrook Cemetery, Adirondack.
