COLONIE – Robert A. Flanders, 58, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at his home.
Robert was born on March 3, 1955 in Albany. He worked as a shipping and receiving clerk for the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance for 38 years, where he loved his job and his co-workers. He was an avid Beatles fan, enjoyed playing his guitar, barbequing and gardening.
Robert is survived by his loving family, his mother, Beatrice (Byrne) Flanders of Albany; his father, Robert J. (Loretta) Flanders of Slingerlands; his brother, Daniel (Lori) Flanders of Colonie; his sister, Susan Flanders of Albany; his nephew, Daniel (Rose) Flanders Jr., his niece, Lindsay (Mike) Berben; his special friends, Candy and Sue; and several aunts, uncles, cousin and friends.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
