Richard James Swanson

Richard James Swanson, 98, of Troy, NY, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025. A proud U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, Richard served his country with honor before returning home to build a successful career. He later founded and operated his own technology business, reflecting a lifelong spirit of curiosity, determination, and innovation. Richard was a devoted husband to his beloved late wife, Carmela Bucci Swanson. He is survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will remember him for his steady wisdom, quiet strength, and unwavering love for family. A graveside service will be held at Memory Gardens on August 8 at 11:00 a.m. All who knew Richard are welcome to attend and honor his life and legacy.
