Colonie- Richard P. "Rick" Sansone Jr., 50, unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2016.
Rick was born in Albany, NY on March 23, 1966 to Mr. and Mrs. Richard and Joyce Sansone Sr.. Soon after he graduated high school he began his career in the culinary arts. Rick was a loyal employee to SPARC at St. Peter's Hospital in Guilderland, NY for over 20 years, and he will be remembered by his family and friends as a wonderful chef who took pride in his work. He will be greatly missed by all his co-workers who he saw as part of his extended family. Rick's passion in life was the Yankees, his family, and his cats. Not necessarily in that order.
Rick is predeceased by his mother, Joyce Sansone.
He is survived by his father, Richard Sansone Sr., his sister, Christine (Richard Barry)Sansone-Selig, his nephews; Cliff Selig Jr., and Connor Selig, his brother-in-law, Cliff Selig Sr., his Uncle Joe(Sandy) Sansone, and Uncle Bernie (Sandy) Kaese, his beloved friend, Donna Kahnle and her son Thomas, and a host of family and friends.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205, on Monday, December 5, 2016 from 4:00pm-7:00pm with a prayer service to immediately follow. Burial will be held at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie, NY on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 10:00am.
Donations may be made in Rick's name to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave, Menands, NY 12204
