Ballston Lake — Richard A. Rupsis, 81, passed away on October 11, 2026. He was born in Schenectady, New York, to the late Anthony and Helen Rupsis.
Richard attended Linton High School and Christian Brothers Academy (CBA) before graduating from Union College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.

His dedication to the tavern and the food he served was a source of pride.
Richard had many interests and enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved dogs, feeding the ducks on Ballston Lake, swimming, and boating. He also enjoyed spending time on his computer, watching the stock market, and helping around the house. Whether pursuing his hobbies or tending to things at home, Richard found enjoyment in the activities that filled his days.
Richard was predeceased by his brother, Charles Rupsis.
He is survived by his siblings, Donald (Brenda) Rupsis and Patricia (Eric Ritter) Wood; his niece, Crystal Wood; his nephews, David (Chelsea) Wood and John Rupsis; and his cousins, Carol Hastings and Louis Burham.
