Richard M. Peart, 69, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. Born on November 27, 1955, he was the son of the late Alfred G. Peart and Anna E. McGrail Peart.
He was a man whose spirit was as bold and unforgettable as the rock and roll music he loved so deeply. Richard was many things to many people—a brother, an uncle, a friend—but above all, he was a man who lived with passion. From the very beginning, Richard carried within him a spark, a love for rhythm, rebellion, and all things loud and real. Rock and roll wasn’t just background noise to Richard—it was the soundtrack to his soul. Whether it was blasting the classics, sharing favorite songs, or just quietly nodding along to a tune that brought back a memory, music was his comfort, his companion, and his joy.
He was predeceased by those he held dearly in his heart—his parents, Alfred “Red” Peart Sr. and Anna E. Peart, and his brothers George, Alfred Jr., and Robert. Alongside nieces Lamissa Harrington, Nicole M Peart and nephew Sean Telford. We can only imagine the reunion that’s happening now—maybe they’re all together again, tapping their feet to a familiar beat and catching up in the kind of peace that only eternity offers. Richard leaves behind a family that loved him deeply—his siblings Anna, Jeff, Dorothy, Pat, Ethel, Ceil and Mike. And he will be forever remembered by a long list of nieces and nephews whose lives he touched in quiet, meaningful ways—through a shared laugh, a story, or simply being the kind of uncle who never tried to be anything but himself.
Richard lived life the way a good song plays—honest, raw, and with a rhythm all his own. He didn’t need the spotlight; he didn’t chase after grandeur. What mattered to Richard was the simple pleasure of a good tune, the love of his family, and being true to himself. Today, as we say goodbye, let us not only mourn his absence but also celebrate the music he brought into our lives—the laughter, the stories, the memories. Let us carry that rhythm forward, remembering Richard with every song that stirs the soul, with every moment that feels a little more alive.
