Richard James Oldham

TRENTON CITY, NJ — Richard James Oldham, of Trenton City, NJ, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, August 23, 2026.

Richard was born in Cohoes, NY, on December 23, 1945.

He was employed by Price Chopper in Menands.

In his spare time, Richard enjoyed bike riding, watching scary movies, and, most of all, eating pizza. He will be remembered for the simple pleasures he enjoyed and the memories he shared with his loved ones.

Richard was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Ann Oldham, who passed away in 2012.

He is survived by his two daughters, Christina (Jason) Babineau and Jennifer (Matt) Maloy; five grandchildren, Madison Crowe, Eddie Leavitt, Mackenzie Leavitt, Ryan Leavitt, and Giovanni Smith; his brother, Paul Oldham; and his sister, Jan Potter. He will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew him.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m., at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet. Interment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Troy.

Richard’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and loved ones.
