Richard A. Hallenbeck, Sr.

EAST GREENBUSH- Richard A. Hallenbeck, Sr. age 82, passed away surrounded by family on July 2, 2025 at St. Peter’s Hospice.

He was born in Albany, the son of the late Leroy and Ethel Hallenbeck. He was also predeceased by his siblings: Kenneth, Peter, Michael, Robert, and Leona.

Richard was a painting contractor for 25 years and then became a stay at home dad to his three daughters.

He was an avid NY Yankees sports fan, enjoyed cooking for his family, playing cards and ordering everything he could from QVC. Richard had a knack of making everyone around him laugh.

Richard is survived by his children: Katelyn, Meagan (Joshua) and Jessica Hallenbeck; grandchildren: Bentley and Kendall Nault; siblings: Marilyn, Christine, Barbara and Tom and his ex-wife Linda (Hallenbeck) Sanzo. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
