ROTTERDAM- Richard J. Deubel, 82, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018 surrounded by the love of his family.
Richard was born in the Bronx, NY to the late George Deubel and Aurelia Burns on August 30, 1935. After graduating high school, Richard served his country honorably in the United States Army. On June 8th 1958, Richard married the love of his life, Anita Deubel. They were married for 59 years and together they raised five children. In 1993, Richard retired from the NYS Retirement System. Richard will be remembered for his love of hunting, bowling, basketball, golfing, and spending time in Stowe, VT, and York Beach, ME. Richard's pride in life was going to all of his grandchildren's events and activities. His passion in life was his family, who will greatly miss his story telling and life lessons.
Richard is predeceased by his loving wife, Anita.
He is survived by his children, Terri (Pat) Peick, Mike (Marcy) Deubel, Cindy (Ron) Naclerio, Mark (Patty) Deubel, and Chris (Diane) Deubel, his grandchildren, Sean, Jared, Andrew, Taylor, Jordyn, Riley, Jessica, Julianna, Morgan, Ashlyn, Alyssa, and Victoria, his sister, Georgie Ward, his step-sister, Jane Miner, and a host of family and friends.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Burial to be held at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery with full military honors.
